Engineers and Technicians Trained in CPR/AED/First Aid
Smyrna, TN - PREMIER System Integrators announced completion of initial, in-house training and certification of all engineering and manufacturing staff in Adult CPR, AED, and First Aid. In late 2009, six (6) PREMIER employees were certified as American Red Cross Trainers to teach First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for Adult, Child and Infant. In addition, PREMIER’s Safety Coordinator is a certified trainer for Bloodborne Pathogens. During 2010, PREMIER hosted thirteen (13) training sessions resulting in seventy-six (76) trained employees. The training included classroom instruction, lecture presentations and skills training sessions. Each employee was required to pass a final exam and, on successful completion, was presented with a certification good for one year.
As part of PREMIER’s strong commitment to safety, this certification program is intended to satisfy the requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70e safety guidelines for work on and around energized electrical systems as well as to provide increased safety for our employees, families and community. Annual recertification and training of new employees are continuing with training sessions typically held every other week, depending on the availability of participants. Training sessions are open to other interested employees even if not covered under the NFPA 70e requirement. PREMIER plans to provide training for spouses and family members during 2011.
